The indoor phone uses both six keybuttons and graphic user interface to enable more intelligent intercom operation. The system connects via Cat.5 cable for simultaneous transfer of video, audio, data, and power, cutting the wiring cost by 60% and installation cost by 50%. The system helps customers build a high quality intelligent community in a green and cost-effective manner.

III. System 800xA new version, launched on Jul.13, 2010

Since being launched in 2004, ABB Extended Automation System 800xA had redefined the function of automation system and become the industry’s first integration platform in deed. System 800xA is always a must to attract visitors on all exhibitions ABB takes part in, with its mighty integration power, excellent availability and scalability, and the unsurpassed efficiency it creates for operators.

ABB has long been active in promoting and applying high-efficiency automation technologies and recently released the latest version of its new generation automation platform Extended Automation System 800xA Version 5.1 – in July 2010. The system creates a truly integrated collaborative environment for users by allowing deeper integration of various smart devices, systems and applications. With a flexible and robust architecture and powerful scalability, it supports integration of fieldbus, process control & safety, and electrical equipments & systems, etc.. The new version further improves overall system performance and usability with a significantly reduced physical footprint, the values of the Power of Integration brought by System 800xA’s integrated Process and Power automation, are well recognized by CIS particularly in the current low carbon economy, and consequently was listed in the Excellent Product category for 2010 Science and Technology Awards by CIS.

IV. New standard series of slip ring generators, launched on June 23, 2010

On June 23, 2010, ABB launched a new standard series of slip ring generators to fit most 1.5 - 2.0 MW doubly-fed turbines. Featuring a module design, the new product is suitable to most turbines used today as well as to all kinds of land based and off-shore wind farm.

With a patented rotor design, it can withstand overspeed and voltage peaks, and reaches an increased insulation level at 2.5 kV and a maximum overspeed up to 3,000 revolutions per minute. The product, maintaining a leading position in terms of both technology and performance in the global market, will be introduced for local production in China soon after its release.

  V. AZ series new Zirconia analyzer, launched on May 12, 2010

AZ series new Zirconia analyzer is a new product with many innovations that ABB released based on its patent technology. With a response time less than 10 seconds and the highest precision control abilities, the analyzer can also be used with integrated or split transmitter. Some high temperature products can even work at 800 ?C, reach at a depth of 4 meters and automatically demarcate.

Significantly, the particular structure design that can be entirely disassembled is actually a revolution and greatly facilitates on-site maintenance. The fully integrated automatic demarcation is able to control the sequence of gas measuring, verify the validity of gases to be tested, and eliminate the demarcation errors caused by loss of the gases. The operation cost and the total cost of ownership can also be remarkably decreased due to the improved system precision as a result of that no technical staff is needed to deal with maintenance.

VI. Freelance new version, launched on Apr. 22, 2010

All process industrial companies have a common clear target, that is, to maximize automation with lowest cost. Bearing this principle, ABB redefined the compact and scalable control system with Freelance, the hybrid process control system which combines DCS and PLC. It’s a DCS with the same size and cost with PLC, with a integrated environment to facilitate engineering, commissioning, maintenance and management of field bus, at the same time with an operator interface on which a simple operation and a diagnosis of the entire system can be taken.

In April, 2010, Freelance 9.2, the latest version of Freelance was launched. This release supports new direct I/O modules for AC 700F, PROFIBUS for AC 700F, S700 as remote I/O, Excel Reporting and the possibility to integrate PLCs into DigiVis operation and observation. A first version of Freelance Bulk Data Manager is available to reduce engineering cost. Today, with powerful automation capabilities, low cost, easy-to-use and advanced design, more than 10 thousands successful application cases have proved Freelance a very impressive image.
